very true!!! do you know of anyone that would be interested? i could just forward the pics onto them ;-)
i'd love to meet someone on MFP.

once it moves off the site and onto email or texting, getting pics of their junk....... it gets old time after time saying, "NEXT!!"

at least here, i can have some normalcy with people, LOL!!!

One person's junk is another person's treasure ;)

the one where he can be anyone online?? i don't know who sings that song but it's the only one i can think of.

i'm sorry people were so mean. i don't understand it at all!!!

i was never messaged about my weight, but i had random and unsolicited messages about why they would NOT date me. i don't know why someone would contact another person to tell them why the would NOT date them, but i had it happen to me.

the ones i can recall were because i have kidS and not 1 kid, i chose not to drink, which apparently is a huge deal. and because i have tattoos.

online dating, is VERY VERY weird!! i have been asked in the initial message if i would be willing to have more kids. they don't even ask how many i have to begin with. and i have been asked this one, more than once! i think people just say whatever the heck they feel like saying and don't' consider they're still saying it to a live human being that will read it and have an emotional reaction of some kind to it!!!!!

    HUGS!!!
Ya think? Yea, well, that's what you get when you sit behind a computer screen yet don't have the balls to meet me face to face and say it TO my face. I'm sure he was 4'9", zit infested with a small penis. I'm sure in the long run, I'm the one who scored on that transaction. LOL

Reminds me of that Brad Paisley song.. how does it go again??

Guys: do you like when a girl messages you online ? Or is it suppose to be the "wait and let him approach you" like in real life?
After getting rejected by like 9 out of every 10 girls we try to communicate with, when somebody actually communicates with us it's kind of nice. Now, I usually have no interest in the ones that message me, but it has nothing to do with the fact that they initiated it.

Why *IS* not drinking such a big deal?

Sober girls are much tougher to get into bed, lol.

But seriously, I love to drink so I just feel like we wouldn't get along very well, or have much fun. Same with girls that are very religious.

Why *IS* not drinking such a big deal?

A couple of reasons of the top of my head.

    1. Alcohol takes the edge off for many people and let's them relax. Conversation is usually more free flowing after a drink or 2.
    2. It kind of limits the places for a potential date. It technically doesn't since all places serve non-alcoholic beverages too, but if someone tells me they don't drink, the last place I want to take them to is a bar (even if they have fun things like pool tables, darts, etc).
    3. Sad but true, roadie's comment does come into play for some people.

i'm guessing that either they assume i have issues like alcoholism, or i'm a goody two shoes.

little do they know just how insane i am without alcohol in my system, which is the main reason i choose not to drink. i'm wild without it. i often lack a filter and feel that shock value is a great tool! LOL

alcohol just makes it so i have absolutely NO inhibitions what so ever! which is not good for me. i am a parent after all!!!!

OH, and they don't even bother to find out that i don't care if you drink. i'll go to a bar, sit at a bar, drink at a bar ( often even ask for a sip ;-)) dance at a bar or on a bar. but, no, i have absolutely no need to drink to relax and have a great time. :-) drunk people are my most favorite people to be around ( unless they get sick or black out, then it's not so much fun).

amazingly enough, once someone meets me, they no longer care that i don't drink, LOL!!!!

Seems like I've heard, on this forum even, (paraphrased) "If a chick messages me, its because she's enough of a dog that nobody is messaging her." WTF?!?

Also, I drink rarely enough that I shouldn't bother mentioning it on a profile. I might have two or three drinks a year, at home, where I don't have to think about how I'm getting home or how much drinks cost. I have nothing against drinking, I just have better uses for money and calories. ;)

The reason some of the girls on here are having problems finding some is they go after the guys. The world is full of guys. Get a man and you wont have problems =)

Aw man! I thought there was some new info! Thanks for the bump though. It's funny, I look at this thread 3 months later and I'm *sooooo* glad I decided to waste some time on Match.com lol!

I do feel like I've wasted my time on Match (and my money), but I know the dating pool is different in every area. I have been on a month and literally only gotten one message and 6 winks... most of which were spammers or nonmembers.

POF has been overwhelming. I need to scare more people off clearly because I'm not attracting what I'm looking for.

Not a paying member of eHarmony but thinking about it. There were a few I corresponded with on free weekends but since we can't see pictures, it makes me nervous. I am active and full of life but don't quite look it yet so since they did the matching, it'd be my luck that they'd be hot and out of my league...

This seems like a JOB, like WORK... is it supposed to be this hard?

I like online dating, I don't need to waste my time talking to people that are allergic to dogs are or like 10 years younger. Most of the people I have met on dating sites have been pretty cool. >knock on wood<

    I'm allergic to dogs!

I joined eHarmony because my friend had such good results with it. NOT FOR ME!!! It matched me mostly with guys who were old enough to be my father. It did match me with a couple on either coast (who I chatted for awhile but they were never gonna come visit and actually disappeared when my work travel took me out their way).

Would you PM me your Match profile link? You're so stinkin CUTE I can't figure out why you only got 6 winks!!!

I'm not attacking, but am curious why you think religious women wouldn't be much fun.

Not meaning to speak for Roadie, but I know he is agnostic so probably wouldn't be compatible with a very religious woman... Or maybe he does mean we're all boring and dull:sad:

Oh, okay. I would agree with the compatibility issues.

No babe, we're not all boring and dull. Too bad you didn't live closer. I'd meet you for a brewski and we could talk about how much fun we are! :drinker:
