Hello, My name is Colette. I joined the group mainly for advice and to learn about Juvenile Diabetes. My son was diagnosed in July of 2009 at the age of 14 and it has been a neverending battle between the normal teenage stubornness and his autism. Please feel free to add me any advice is greatly appreciated!

    wow that is a plateful. I have had Type 1 for 8 years, was diagnosed at 29. I also have a son with Autism and can only image the issues of combining these two. Not sure I have any advice, but words of encouragement might be helpful. You are the mom and doing the best you can for your child. Just keep it up.

    I feel for you. I'm a type 1 and I'm the mom of a 11 year old boy with Down syndrome.
