Insulin Resistance vs Ease of Weight Loss

I am one of the few cysters who does not actually have insulin resistance (I am close, but still within the normal range) and I feel that compared to some others who are insulin resistant, I lose weight faster. Is there a correlation between how bad your insulin resistance is and how easy it is to lose weight? That seems logical to me, but I was wondering if anyone can give me a more complete answer. :)

I'm pretty sure there is. I have insulin resistance and have been taking medicine for it for the past 5 years and still steadily gain weight. I've recently managed to get it to start going down but it fluctuates so much it's depressing! I am going to a new doctor next week and hopefully he can give me some insight into this! I'm glad you are not insulin resistant!!
