Faith alone in Christ alone

The emphasis in today's world is on self. Many peolple have taken physical fitness and self-image and have turned it into an idol. There is definitely a Christian and biblical view for excercise. As Paul writes Timothy he says, " for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come." (1 Tim. 4:8).
Notice that Paul does say that it is profitable....but the main focus for the believer in Christ is that of obedience to Christ/God. The proper balance is that God and Jesus Christ come first. This includes our daily inculcation from God's word and the application of His word to our lives.
God's word contains propositional truths. Truth that we are to actively mix with faith and apply to our thinking and our lives.
Excerise is a good thing as well. God has given us these bodies to house our Soul until the time comes when He takes us home to Him. We should honor these bodies and strive to treat them with respect.
The reason I titled this thread "Faith alone in Christ alone" is that that is the biblical way to salvation. That is the most important thing in life! Christ died for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). Trusting in Him, that He took the penalty of our sins is how we have eternal life with God forever ( John 3:16; Rom. 3:10; 4:3-8; 5;19; John 3:16; Acts 16:31; 1 Pet. 2:24).
