Being in the military I focus my training on building overall strength & endurance. Because I think is more important to have muscles that last not look pretty. Currently I keep my training reps between 12-6 and use compound sets to keep up.the intensity. I'm looking for suggestion...

To build your muscle endurance from all my reading it suggest you are in the right rep range which is the 12 to 15 range. The endurance is built with the higher rep counts vs. the lower rep counts. At least that's been my experience and from the books I have read too. Also, I'm not sure if you are using body weight exercises but, planks will also help with muscle endurance too. Also pushups where you hold the position both at the top of the movement and the bottom of the movement will help too long term if you build that into your workouts routines. Good luck...

agree with all of this :)

isometric holds like the plank, wall squats etc are great for muscular endurance.

You might try going for XX reps in some pre-determined time vs just xx reps.
