Hi, my name is Crissy. I exclusively breastfeed my 4 month old little girl Breanne. I also have a 4 year daughter Alyssa. I only have a few more pregnancy pounds to lose, but my main goal is to simply get healthy and tone up. I'm currently doing Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. I would be interested to hear if anybody else has had experience with this program and what your results were. I look forward to getting to know you all!

I am exclusively breastfeeding and doing the 30 day shred, too! My daughter was 11 weeks old yesterday. I started doing the 30 day shred a couple weeks ago and did Day 13 today. I haven't seen amazing results yet on the scale, but am noticing some small changes in my body. We'll see how it goes. I also haven't really been watching what I ate that much, though. I just started tracking calories today. Hopefully that will make a difference. I only have 3 lbs to lose to get to my pre-pregnancy weight, but when I got pregnant, I was in the midst of slimming down. Hopefully the 30 day shred will help me get those 3 lbs gone PLUS some more!
Hope the shred helps you get toned!0 -
Hey Susieb! It looks like we're in the same situation. I have about 5 more pounds to go to get to my prepregnancy weight but I don't want to stop there. Are you doing the 30 day shred everyday? Today will be my third day and my legs hurt bad! I wasn't sure if I should just work through the pain or take a day off? Good luck to you on those last few pounds.0

Hi! I'm a breastfeeding mom too of my 5 month old baby boy. I too have about 5 lbs to go to get to my pre-pregnancy weight but I was 10-15 lbs more then that I really wanted to be. Feel free to add me as a friend. I want to start exercising again...just have to figure out when I can fit it into my schedule.0

I have a difficult time fitting it in to my schedule too....I found I do best when I set a specific time for it. I try to treat it the same way I would an actual appointment. Even then though it doesn't always happen. Good luck!0 -
Hey Crissy! Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. I find that now that I'm a mama, I have time to read things while using one hand, but then forget to respond until I only have one hand again! And I hate typing with one hand!!
How is your 30 Day Shred going?? I had intended to do it everyday, but found it really hard to work in a workout before church on Sundays, and I am one that doesn't like to shower twice in one day, so if I don't do it before my shower, it usually doesn't get done later in the day! So, I have taken some days off here and there -- all Sundays, and then usually one of my husband's other days off. At first it was just because it was nice to have a break. But here lately, it has also been because my right knee and ankle have not been feeling great during the workout or when I get up in the middle of the night with my LO. I never had this kind of pain before I was pregnant, so I'm not sure if I'm over doing it or if I'm just getting old (at 26...lol).
Also in response to jcmjim22-- I usually do my workouts either during a nap time or when my daughter is playing on her playmat. Sometimes I feel bad about her being awake while I workout, but I talk to her and she thinks it's funny when I do some of the moves in front of her. Also, I want her to see her mama being healthy -- so I guess it's not too early to start!0 -

These are really only excuses but I really only have the options of the butt crack of dawn and I already get up at 6:00 or before going to bed. I think I'm leaning toward early morning because I'll like that fact that it's done. We have an elliptical at home so I just need to find the energy to get going.
I hope your ankle and knee start to feel better soon. I know what you mean about feeling old. I can't sit Indian style for very long anymore because it hurts when I get up yet I still do it! I'm 34. I'd probably feel a lot better if I started exercising again!0 -

Hey, no need to apologize here...currently I'm trying to type while my little one is on my lap and it's not working that well...she likes pushing the keys . As for the 30 day shred, I love it!! The first few days my legs were killing me but I'm so glad that I worked through it. I'm already feeling stronger! Hopefully you find relief for your knee and ankle pain soon.0 -
Hi ladies! I'm a breast feeding mom as well! I posted on this group back in Feb when I joined MFP and now have a wonderful network of friends, most of which are moms and most breast feeding or were bf and weaned. I am also currently doing the 30 DS. I got through 14 days and had to take a break, I injured my calves pretty badly. So, I took two weeks off and started back up yesterday. It definitely get results! I have friends who have posted 30 DS results pictures and look amazing! Jillian gets results! I have about 4 more pounds to pre preg weight but 18.5 lbs to pre pregnancy weight after my second which was a healthy weight for me. This last few is the worst! Hope you have luck with the shred!!0
