Good morning,

Since I'm not a bride or a bridesmaid, I thought we could still participate as we want to look good too!

I'm not your typical mother of the bride. I had my kids young and I'm very young at heart at 44.

My daughter is having a beach wedding. My dress isn't really typical either.

As soon as I figure out how to add a picture to a post (maybe someone can help me out) I will post a picture of the dress.

Best of luck on reaching your goals Moms!

Bobbie

Okay here is a crappy pic of the dress. Mine will be ivory. It's a beach wedding and we will all be wearing red flowers as accents.

Mother-of-the-bride, here, too! I don't know what typical is, but at 50 I am a very fit, active, and also a young at heart MOTB. I'm hitting the gym a little harder with the goal of looking hot in my mom dress. I have 7 lbs. to lose. I most likely won't get there by June 23, but if if I just tighten up some I'll be happy.

I have been to many, many weddings where the mother of the bride wears a polyester suit/dress type of thing. That doesn't suit my personality very well. I want to lose another 8 lbs and be tight and toned.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I found it really frustrating shopping mother of the bride dresses. One shop admitted she didn't have any younger styles that would suit me. I started looking at bridesmaid dresses, but my first pick was deemed too similar to the dresses she picked for her bridesmaid. When I found my dress online, I decided it was youthful enough while still being a mother of the bride dress. I immediately found a shop that carried the dress and ordered it. That was February....and it is due to be delivered May 7. I can't wait to try it on.
