OK, so i'm petrified of going away in June :ohwell:
For my birthday this year, my fiance and I decided to go away to Tenerife in the Canary Islands.
I am not a very good flyer because I panic before i get on the plane for one reason and ONE reason only...
I am so scared the seatbelt wont fit around me
I know most airlines have extension belts but i am the kind of person who WILL NOT ask for one. I will be far too upset and embarassed.
I have aimed to lose around 14lbs by this date (we fly out June 21st) but im worried it wont be enough :frown:
Does anyone else worry about this?
Can anyone offer me any advice...im so worried!!
Thanks guys!

I know the extension belts can be a bit intimidating to ask for, but I imagine your flight will be a faily long on, and if you squeeze on the seatbelt, it will be very uncomfortable, and each time you need to put it on would be a strain. Hopefully you will be able to lose enough weight before then, but if not, don't be embarrased asking for one. I have never had a bad reaction to asking for one. The flight attendants are usually discrete, and have never given a bad look. Before I new they existed though, flights were very uncomfortable, on top of being big for the seat itself, it felt like I was wearing a blood pressure cuff around my waist. Not fun.0
