Favorite Vegan Books?

Just curious if you all have any favorite vegan books/authors? Was there a special book that was the catalyst for adopting your vegan lifestyle? Maybe you have a favorite vegan cookbook?
I am reading "Main Street Vegan" right now and like the approachable style, seems like a good book to recommend to those wanting to learn more. Other books I own but have not yet read include "The China Study" and "Vegan's Daily Companion".

I swear by "Dr. Neal Barnard's Program for Reversing Diabetes." I've found it really has reversed my diabetes. I'm off all diabetes meds, my A1C is 5.1 to 5.3, and my daily blood sugars run from low 70's to low 80's.

Another one I really enjoyed was Rip Esselstyn's "Engine 2 Diet." His dad Caldwell Esselstyn wrote "The China Study."

Also, Caldwell Esselstyn's book "Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease" was really informative, and well worth a read.

Finally, my very first vegetarian (not vegan) cookbook that I sometimes still take down and leaf through is "Laurell's Kitchen."

I love Colleen Patrick-Goudreau - so "Vegan's Daily Companion" and the "30-day Vegan Challenge" are two of my favorite books.
I also read "Vegan Freak" on a recommendation from someone here and really enjoyed it. I have read most of "The China Study" as well.0 -
I like Colleen Patrick-Goudreau too. I've been listening to her podcasts (Vegetarian Food for Thought on iTunes). She covers a lot of common vegan questions/dilemmas etc. Her foundation of compassion for all resonates with me. I actually ordered "30 Day Vegan Challenge" yesterday. It is out of print (new edition coming) but I was able to order a copy from Farm Sanctuary.0

Ever since I became Vegan about 4 months ago I have been reading books on the topic non stop! I really just want to know all that I can know about the subject especially since all of my family and friends are omni's I really want to have some research to back up my choices to be Vegan when people try to bring up an argument or even just ask questions. Of all the books I have read so far the ones that have had the most impact on me for different reasons are: The Ultimate Vegan Guide by Erik Marcus. Meat Market by Erik Marcus, Vegan for Life by Jack Norris, The China Study by Thomas Campbell, and Vegan Freak by Bob Torres and Jenna Torres.0
