I went yesterday and was told I have sleep apneia now. They also something irregular from my heart during the sleep study so I am going to see the cardio tomorrow morning. I was told that my high insulin levels are probably what have caused the apnei. Has anyone else expierence this or on a CPAP machine?

I'm not to familiar with this. I do know that my husband has sleep apneia and is supposed to sleep with a machine. He needs to get new nose pieces for his machine. But otherwise, he says it's not that hard to get used to. I'll pray things work out for you.

my husband uses a VPAP machine which is similar to CPAP, but it can sense when you've stopped breathing and provide the air instead of a steady stream. Also, on the VPAP, there is a humidifier so he doesn't get so dried out. But seriously, he is finally sleeping well and his whole outlook has changed. It's worth it!
