Come on Cupcake! when you first meet someone everything is all sunshine, rainbows and unicorn piss because it is that heady fun beginning when you are getting to know each other and you are both on your best behavior and overly considerate of one another. In your case lately you have just been meeting folks who are only in town for a short time and the new early phase of things has you thinking it is supercalafragalistic expiadultacious! Really if he were to stay in town another month...it may not still be all roses and puppy kisses.

when you're passing through town, or they're passing through town, you can be anyone you want. they can be anyone they want.

there is an air of " this is only temporary" ..... after all they ( or you) will be gone in a couple days. so, why not make the most of it and just have fun!!! it's even better than the honeymoon period because you're trying to make those couple days the best! they have to last after you no longer see one another.

things would not be the same if you both lived in the same place and were trying to make a go of an actual relationship :-)

just enjoy it while it lasts :-)

Oh I hear ya! I'm in the exact same boat right now. Went out with this guy for a bit... he was supposed to be transferred at the end of June. Guess what? He left this week. UGH! So not fair!
