I'm so happy for you and your son! And yes, the road is long but Warrior Mommy got it done! Your son is so blessed to have a Mom who fights for him. That's going the biggest factor in his life and this journey...a Mom who won't stop doing what she knows is best for her child. Great job!

Glad to hear you have finally got a diagnoses. It is a never ending battle and a roller coaster of emotions, but our children are so worth it( my boy is autistic) best of luck in the future, your boy is lucky to have a mum who will fight his corner so he reaches his full potential!

I'm so glad you finally got the diagnosis. Aspergers tends to be diagnosed alot later than classic autism becasue the kids are so high functioning. My nephew was in 3rd grade I think. My son who is high functioning but had an autism diagnosis was not even 3 when diagnosed.

Anyway, he is a lucky little boy who has parents that are fighting for him. How old is he? Is he receiving any special services

Congrats on getting the "experts" to confirm what your mother's gut had already told you. You should be very proud.

Mine almost 18 year old Aspergers son has his PDD-NOS given at 26 months morphed in to Aspergers at age 11.

Be happy to share info if you'd like.

    Again, YAY YOU!

Congrats. My 7 1/2 yr old has been diagnosed with ADHD-CT and anxiety, but his ped thinks he may also be aspie. We are supposed to go for neuro testing, probably won't get in until this summer, though. We have been up & down the diagnosis road, too. Sometimes I just want to scream b/c we get conflicting information.....so very confusing. I just want to help him succeed!!
