new shoes question

I am testing out new shoes, Kinvara 2 and NB MT10.
I really really liked the NBs, but I might exchange them for the wider width.
Kinvara's were ok, I got a half size bigger because my normal size was a bit more snug than I'm used to...not sure it was the right thing to do.
I'm already used to the 4mm drop and midfoot strike, just not the reduced padding. Do you think I'll have work myself into the NBs? My Cortanas are shot (holes) and I really didn't want to have to buy two pairs of shoes....what do you think?

I've never worn the MT10's, but I've done some training in minis before (Merrell PaceGlove - LOVE them). There was an adjustment period for me when I transitioned to minimalist footwear. There was a LOT of stretching involved...and a fair bit of ice. I don't recommend rushing into that transition.
I started running in the Kinvara 2's in January. I love that shoe, but it's no good for distance for me. I can only run comfortably in them for 6 - 8 miles. I just bought Brooks Launch to test out for my longer runs over the summer.0 -
Thanks for the input! I think they have a bit more to them than the Merrell's, not as much padding as the Cortanas or Kinvara's though. I am doing a half in June so I need to start upping my miles eventually (been sitting at 6-7 for the past few weeks).
I'm not in love with the kinvaras, but they are $30 cheaper than the Cortanas...blah, I wish I had paid attention to my shoes before they got a hole in them!0
