Also make sure to leave your dignity, and self respect at home or you will end up losing them in Vegas. True Story!

Pocket square is the colorful piece of material sticking out of the breast pocket on a suit, usually matches or is similar to the tie. Those are just the shoes I'm taking. I think I have 10-12 pairs of shoes. The tank tops are actually undershirts, they are called A-shirts, I just feel more comfortable wearing one under my clothes. It is just a preference.

@DM - I'm good, I'm 6'2" and 268 right now, I'm one of the smaller guys of the group. Most of the guys in the crew I am going with have done security for large rock tours and done door work for tons of bands. I'm the sane level headed one with the normal 9-5 job. lol

Cash was not on the list. There is also a site called wizardofodds.com that has (or did have) a list of the blackjack odds for the games and rules offered at all the casinos. If you're into poker check out allvegaspoker.com. It is a little outdated but lists the games and limits spread by most casinos and provides poker room reviews as well. Then lasvegasadviser.com has loads of info on pools, games, nightlife, shows, and restaurants.

I've got the cash, I'm budgeting myself about $600 a day for gambling. I doubt I'll spend that much, but unless I'm winning I'm not going to let the days overlap. Whatever I don't spend in a day stays in the bank for when I get home. :-D

First priority: make sure your shoes are comfortable for a lot of walking.

Double the sunscreen you think you'll need, an add an empty water bottle just in case. There are some great places to go hiking in the area if you get bored with the strip. Also wouldn't hurt to bring a light jacket if you're the type to get chilled. (Yes, I know it's 98 OUTSIDE, but the casinos are in the high 60s/low 70s.)

I would also pack a box of granola bars or something to nibble on in the hotel room for breakfast, to limit the dining out a bit.

Finally - thank you for the good schools, green parks, and clean communities of Southern Nevada. Residents don't pay income taxes; the economy runs totally off of tourism. :D

Signed - a former Las Vegas local.

If you have a shiny and/or mesh shirt, you should bring it. Otherwise you will look out of place at da club. lol

You go fancy to Vegas, I'm sure most people in the casino will be in bermuda shorts and a tourist t shirt. But if you are going to nice shows, dinners, playing the tables at a nice casino, then you want to look good for the ladies. But yeah, comfortable shoes are key. I never bring that many pairs of shoes. Just from one casino to the next can be a long *kitten* walk because of the driveways, so bonus exercise but not good for the feetsies

You're bringing Doctor Who shirts, I'm sorry I'm having a bit of a girl moment over here... Add your camera and your phone charger to the list. You might want to bring some lotion, going from humid as all get out New Orleans to Vegas, the dry air was pretty rough to adjust to.

Actually, I'm pretty sure I have more shoes than just about every guy on this site. I think I have like 15 pairs of flip flops alone.

I always tend to prefer an undershirt. they're light, comfy and don't make me sweat.

tank tops for pool/lounging, although I'll admit they're an overlap.

I usually bring the tub w/ me, leave the sink at home.

I hate to disagree my friend but "flip flops' in my humble opinion aren't really shoes and if you were to look in my closet you would find close to 40 pair of athletic shoes, boots, dress shoes, casual shoes and there isn't a flip flop in the bunch.

Shoe...an external covering for the human foot, usually of leather and consisting of a more or less stiff or heavy sole and a lighter upper part ending a short distance above, at, or below the ankle.

That's pretty impressive Mack. More flippers than me. Do you live somewhere hot? :flowerforyou:

TBH I dont really know what an undershirt is  Is it like a vest? A tank top, is that like a t-shirt??

I live in NC, decent hot. I wear em year round though.

But I can usually match any outfit to a pair of flip flops.

tank top typically tends to show more skin.
undershirt is just a light t-shirt, normal sleeves (not long sleeves).

Ah, a fake hankie.....lol....and I always thought they were real. How is a lady in distress supposed to borrow it to dry her eyes?? Or walk over puddles?? If its a tiny little square.....
