That stupid meet me feature is like a gold mine for viewing and receiving messages. I guess peeps pay attention to that more than they do messages.

I think it may give more confidence for someone to send a message if they already see that they clicked that they wanted to meet you. But I have messaged someone who supposedly wanted to meet me and got nada. So not a sure thing. Lol I don't know that anyone that I clicked yes on has messaged me either. But it's better than flying blind.
(Chaotic - Plenty of Fish is a free dating site)

Side note: For the longest time I read that site's name as, 'Plenty Offish' not 'Plenty "of Fish.'

    What do you mean?
That you said "meet me > YES" to 50 women (for example) and a lot of them responded? Interesting... Never used that feature.

    That seems more appropriate somehow!

Not on there no but I always ignore those want to meet me messages - if they can't be bothered to send a proper message then they can't be that interested!!

    My opinion anyway!

I'm on there and I typically only talk to people who PM me first. Its easy to go on there and click a button saying I want to meet this person, but I want a guy to make a little effort, ya know?

Since I never initiated contact by messaging, I used Meet Me feature as a passive aggressive way to let someone know I was interested. I'd go "boy shopping" and pick who I liked on there then let them respond to it (if they wanted). This is how I met Smiley!

I agree. I've started flipping through the meet me an figure that might get them to look at my profile. Then if they like what they see I figure they will message me. If not then oh well. I've notice the message flow has increased since I started this. :-)

I agree with La Amazona........passive way to let one know you could be interested...........sometimes they will write and sometimes they don't ...just as I get the meet me message, I will then check out a profile I may have not otherwise noticed :)

In a way it's like "Hot or Not". Remember that website, is it still around? Most people just click through pictures and say yay or nay. The cute ones that want to meet me seem to be from out of state. I don't know why they'd even be looking in California if they don't live here. False advertising

I actually don't use it myself, but I always click through the one that have said yes to me...after that if I like one or a profile seems interesting I'll send a quick note. I'm actually talking to 3 guys right now and one I decided to give my number to last night and we talked for 4 friggin' hours. He's definitely a chatter box! LOL

yea, just click away. clicking yes 100 times is a lot easier than messaging. plus if they're really interested they'll send you a note. plus it's not lame like a wink.

The "meet me" button is like shooting fish in a barrel pick and choose and keep movin on . lol I loved those who would click "meet me" and then I would email them to no avail. It is all good no worries not my issues

I might start using the "meet me" feature.. IT'll save a lot of time. . If she replies back with the meet me feature.. i can then generate an email. :)

POF is a waste of time. I think the profiles are fake too. OKC is decent but in a way, still sucks. Good luck everyone.
