Said goodbye to Dika

My oldest little rat had to be euthanased two days ago. She's had problems for months, but Monday night I had to come down to get some tablets and found her really distressed. I gave her painkiller, rang the emergency vet and had permission to give her a little diazepam if I could look up the dose - which I did. I took her in on Tuesday - she was injected while I held her, then spent her last five minutes tucked next to my heart. She was a lovely girl - dumbo-eared British Blue. I must write her obituary and do her montage.
