What dances are you working on at the moment?

Pretty self explanatory title I think
At the modern oriental/cab class I go to on Wednesdays I'm currently learning Egyptian techniques with a view to learning a drum solo that our teacher is working on. She likes to do different stuff, so I think it might be drum solo with a twist!
My fusion troupe hasn't done much for a while. I took a break after getting married last year, the one girl had a nervous breakdown and now seems to prefer solo stuff and the other one is heavily involved with our teacher's ATS troupe, so hopefully I can pull us all back together this year for a couple of performances.

I just learned a new zill number with my cab troupe! It's one I've been wanting to learn since I started four years ago, and I finally know it!!
With my fusion troupe, we've been UBER busy. We're preparing for a folkloric set at a big festival called A World A'fair. We're doing the Hagalla and a Ghawazee number with cane and zills! Aaaaah! It's rather intimidating, but it's a great challenge! The costuming is very specific, so that's been almost as difficult as the choreography!!
I'm also working on finessing my first solo for some performances this summer, and I'm learning another new number with the fusion troupe on top of all the World A'fair madness! My head might explode! It's great, though, but I will be happy when the big show is over and some of the major pressure is off! :flowerforyou:
The drum solo sounds great!! I went to a workshop last weekend with Sadie and Kaya that was very drum solo intensive.
I hope you can get your fusion troupe back together. Maintaining a troupe is hard work, especially when people are busy with other things or have disagreements/misunderstandings. It always amazes me how dynamic belly dance troupes can be.
Good luck with all your pursuits!!!0
