Ask them here.

Fire away. I'm somewhat of a collector and unofficial not-really know it all. I'm familiar with 99% of brands, what the best of their lines are etc.

I have a major one. A few weeks ago I noticed that my eye makeup was making my eyes burn. I switched to all Almay but now that is even bothering me... What else is there?

My skin gets greasy by the end of the day. I've tried everything from properly moisturizing at night to blotting, and I always look a hot mess by the end of the day. Ideas?

Clinique. It's hypo-allergenic. It's also the only eye makeup I can wear without my eyes getting really itchy and irritated.

I don't remember. My eyeliner was clinique but my mascara was a drug store one, Maybelline I think. Black mascara and brown liner was the usual.

Get a good quality primer to go under makeup to make it last longer. There are some good mattifying ones out there. You can also use a mattifying moisturizer. Do you use blotting linens for blotting? I get oily too and use boscia linens or DHC brand. Clean and clear blotting sheets are supposed to be excellent too but I haven't tried them. Do you use a face powder?

no eyeshadow though? did you change moisturizers recently? With some brands my eye cream will make its way into my eye and cause that. Some mascaras will give you a burn if you're sensitive, or because of added fragrance to the particular brand.

I've never used a primer, but I'd be more than willing to to make the oily skin stop.

I usually use the Clean N' Clear blotting tissue, and it works really well, but I have to use them constantly.

Yep, I have to blot all day too. The primer helps prevent your makeup from sliding off. If you're prone to break outs, I'd avoid any primer that has anything that ends in "cone" in the ingredients. I believe l'oreal makes a decent one, the Prep & prime spf 50 from MAC is good, then there's some decent ones at sephora, but Idk if that's in your budget. Setting your makeup with powder helps keep it in place.

If you're using a primer, make sure you have a decent makeup remover to make sure you're getting it off your skin at night.

I've actually found Revlon of all things to be the least irritating to the skin around my eyes. I'm allergic to most eyeliners and mascaras, especially the hypoallergenic ones. I've also had luck with Clinique.

Oooh, yay, a makeup thread! I'm a makeup *kitten*, I've used them all!

My opinion on primer - I honestly think they're a crock. I've used all of them - Smashbox, Laura Mercier, cheap ones from Reviva, Revlon, MAC - none of them worked for me. They didn't make one bit of difference in how long or how well my makeup looked, felt or stayed on. So I just don't use them anymore, and there's no change in how my makeup stays on.

I only use mineral makeup, and I've been a loyal Bare Escentuals user since 2004. It really makes a difference for me - I don't get enough coverage or staying power from liquid foundation, plus I have sensitive skin, and a lot of liquids break me out. I love BE - it covers up all my blotchiness!

What about skin care? I just discovered the greatest, most awesome brand - have you guys heard about Mario Badescu? Apparently, it's this brand that's been around since 1967, and tons of celebs use it. The great part about it is that it's REALLY cheap, like drugstore prices cheap, and you can get it online or at Ulta stores. They have a spa in NYC where you can buy the products too, but they have weird hours. So even though I live in NYC, I've ordered some stuff online when I can't get there, and their shipping is really fast. The products are mostly all natural, and they don't test on animals, which are huge pluses for me. They keep their prices low because the packaging is really minimal and no frills - it's just white plastic jars and bottles with their green and white label. They pretty much say on the website, "Our packaging is no-nonsense, and that's how we keep our prices so low". So they basically confirm that most of the brands out there charge the higher prices for a pretty package, but we all knew that!

If you want to keep it cheap, I think Wet N Wild has some good ones. They have a white one called "Sugar" - not sure how opaque it is or not.

I have awful, greasy skin too! Urban Decay has a couple of amazing products! I use the Deslick powder compact and it really works! I rarely have to reapply. Only when it is humid or something. They also had a Deslick cream that you can put on under your makeup, and that works as well.
I also use their setting spray if I am going out somewhere, and need my makeup to stay on!My makeup has a tendencey to slide off my mug. These are miracle products. The only downfall is that they are expensive (around $30) But trust me, I have tried everything over the last 10 years, and these products are amazing and worth it.
You only really need the powder....I just kisted the rest in case you prefer sprays over powders or whatever....

I've completely given up on mascara. Every brand I try leaves me with itchy, goopy eyes by the end of the night. So I just wear black eyeliner and skip the lashes. Never a problem with eyeliner. For a really special event (read: costume party) I'll wear falsies. I have an easier time wearing false lashes than frickin' mascara.
