Hi, I'm Kris.
41 yr old mom and wife. I live in Roseville, work in Edina.
I did Jenny Craig a few years ago and lost 80 lbs but have gained about 45 of it back. I'm working on losing it. I started with MFP mid last week. I like the fact that it has all the foods you can imagine (and you can scan your labels) and exercise figured right in.
I work a pretty sedentary job, but I take advantage of the gym in my building at lunch for the treadmill.
I am an avid reader, gardener, crocheter, gamer and work at the MN Renaissance Festival as well.
I'm looking for buddies as well. I'm going to lose this weight and keep it off. There is a genetic predisposition to diabetes in my family and I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant with my son. I'm not going to be the next one to get it if I can avoid it.

Hi Kris - I'm Angie! I'm new to this and just getting into the swing of it. I work in Roseville and live in St. Paul. I love crocheting and am a beginner knitter. My mom was diagnosed with Type II about a year ago, so between that and my lower back issues I realized that I *must* get this weight off of me SOON!
It's great to meet you... I'll send you a friend request!0 -
I accepted your friend request - thanks for sending it! My mom has been insulin dependent type II for years. I wish I'd known before I was pregnant with my son (I'm adopted and only met her about 4 years ago) so I could have avoided gestational diabetes.
Glad to have another friend here for support and encouragement!
I knit too (but not very well), I'm limited to the fun fur and ribbon scarves. I can't get my gauge right knitting.
Great to meet you as well!0
