Just a big HI! to fellow runners!

Only recently starting running properly, got the running bug probably when i did race for life last year and since then done a 10k
(bit of a surprise) and down to do another 5k in june.

I'm currently doing a beginners programme which i highly recommend to anyone starting out!

I'm on week 5 at the minute and it is getting easier, but one question how do you prevent the black toes? was thinking about getting gel toe caps?

Any ideas?

Have you been to a running shoe store? I remember my salesperson telling me something about it. The sales people in those stores tend to be runners and can make recommendations. I didn't have black toe but heel pain. They measured my feet, recorded my stride as I walked, and sold me the best pair of running shoes. They were expensive, but heel pain doesn't keep me at home. I will check out that link. I need a schedule to help me train. :flowerforyou:

Hi everyone, So I am not a runner but want to be. My husband runs for hours with not struggle or hesitation. I run for a few minutes and then walk for a few ect. I have reallly been working on my cardio ect so I think I am ready to jump back in and give it a try. You all are so inspiring! Wish me luck I would love to complete a marathon this year without embarassing myself.
