Where do you shop for work clothes?

So where do you tall ladies find the best work clothes?

I owe my life to New York and Company (thank god for the tall slacks!) but even then I find a lot of their blouses run VERY short, especially their button ups.

I usually shop @ Express, TJMaxx, Marshall and H&M. There are some good selections for ladies our height.

JCPenney - Worthington Brand. BEST PANTS EVER! Most stores carry them in Talls, they are available online too. I own the Curvy Fit ones and the Modern Fit ones.

Express pants are still a bit too short for me. And their shirts are cut a bit small and short. I'm 33 and sometimes the styles I feel are a bit young.

New York and Company, but not as much as I used to. Their stuff seems like it's not the same quality any more.

Kohls too, not for pants but at least shirts and skirts.

Pants from Gap. I love em.

Dresses & work tops from Old Navy, since they carry tall sizes online. Gap also has nice tops sometimes; a little out of my budget but if they're on sale, I buy

I too love J C Penny for slacks! The length is perfect, the cut is quite nice and I've had pairs of both Worthington and East5th (something like that) that have worn especially well. When I consider that I've got some on sale for as little as $14, they are my favs.

I have also purchased good slacks at Boscov's and a QVC outlet that were nice.

Penny's is my "go to" store.

I can usually find nice things at TJ Maxx, JC Penney, Old Navy, etc like the others have. I also find great deals online for shirts and other things. Some at amazon.com.

I do have to say that I prefer skirts to pants because of the length issue since I am 6'3". 3/4 sleeves for my suit coats...all the tricks.

    Good luck!

Banana Republic!!!! I went to the outlet mall last weekend and did some serious damage at the BR, haha. It was my reward for hitting goal weight. Three pairs of size 6L dress pants for $29 each (!!!!!!), kick *kitten* jeans for $45, dress skirt for $13, dressy shirts, sweaters, and a t-shirt. All the dress pants are long enough to require heels and I have to roll up the jeans to wear them with flats. I'm 6' tall, needless to say I get really excited when pants fit and are that long!

If BR is too pricey (it usually is for me but the outlet was having a big sale) then try Gap for dress pants and jeans. I've had great luck there. Not so much with Old Navy, which is weird considering they're all part of the same parent company. ON is good for shirts though, the sleeves are usually long enough.

Edit: also... and this is a new discovery... Victoria's Secret for jeans. A lot of them come in 34" inseam and some of them
go as long as 36". I ordered two pairs and love them. The fabric feels like its good quality and I like the fit. VC has sales all the time. I think my jeans were on sale for $30-$40 each.

I order everything online. Gap, Banana Republic and Jcrew all have a great tall or x-tall selection you can only find online.

    Also, longtallsallly.com

    endless.com for size 12 shoes.

    www.longtallsally.com (in store or online)

    Online only:
    www.next.co.uk
www.tallgirls.co.uk (specialist shop like LTS but younger)
    www.topshop.co.uk
    www.dorothyperkins.co.uk

Next do a tall trouser which is a 35" inside leg. Their tall range is pretty limited but you can order online and pick up in the shop which means you can try on in the shop and get a refund immediately if you don't like the item.
Topshop and DP have very limited ranges too, and their clothes are generally too young for me, but I've been able to pick up some work staples - black trousers etc

i don't usually have a problem with finding long pants (but my inseam is only 33"), i always have a problem finding shirts that come lower than my waistband. and that have ample bosom room. i love my pants from lane bryant / catherines. they are called right fit, and you buy them based on whether you're curvy (like me) straight and narrow or bottom heavy. they were expensive at $45, but they have worn well.

Me too.. I layer almost everything. I wear a long cami/tank top underneath almost everything to compensate for shirts that aren't long enough.

I get most of my clothes from Express. Kohls also has some nice things-- depends on the designer.
