30 kids and counting

Man who fathered 30 kids says he needs a break on child support.

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/man-fathered-30-kids-needs-break-child-support-140439765.html

He didn't break the law by breeding, but he is delinquent on child support. The state takes half of his pay ($7.25/hour) and divides it up between all 30 kids.

Thoughts?

I don't feel a bit sorry for him. There's no excuse for having that many kids with that many women! I do have two suggestions for him. Buddy, get another job or two and KEEP YOUR PENIS IN YOUR PANTS and you won't have to worry about producing more kids that you can't afford to take care of!

I really don't feel sorry for this guy either, not with all the ways we have today to avoid getting someone pregnant. After the first child he had at the minimum 29 opportunities to be smart and use protection. Someone does something stupid that many times then they damn well knew what the consequences were. I can't even express how disgusting and ignorant I find this guy. You wanna have 30 kids, fine but you better be able to afford to take care of all of them, NO BREAKS.

Wow, you guys are nice. I was going straight to "maybe there is a time and a place for court ordered vasectomies..." and "Planned Parenthood needs more funding and the ability to b*tchslap."

The sad part about this is that any of the 11 women who spawned these 30 kids is getting, oh... 12 cents per hour per child of this guy's paycheck. I doubt any of the women are able to support their families without government assistance, and if he couldn't stop when it was "just" 21 kids he couldn't support, why stop at thirty? He's probably paying the least for his poor choices out of anyone in the sad situation.

    Idiocracy, here we come.

Well to be quite honest I tend to leave my real feelings on what to do with people like this out of it because there is no way to make it a reality in this world, a perfect world (well in a perfect world this wouldn't happen) maybe but not this one. I tend to be much harsher in my mind on what to do with people that are only burdens on society (and I don't mean ones that can't help it). But yeah I could definitely get down with some court ordered sterilization.

This guy should have gotten his penis snipped at baby #5. This is ridiculous! No break for you! Can't pay, then to jail!

Man this guy has really dug himself into a hole!!! What incentive will he ever have to work harder get raises etc when the money will just be taken from him. Jail would be a vacation. Epic-loser! and who are these women having kids with him? They need a slap or two! They should join forces and take turns with childcare and earning money - like a good functioning commune.

i think court order sterilization is in order - the whole thing is just wrong. the people paying for this yahoo's good time are the tax payers, you and I. You can bet that at least some of these kids (and not the kids fault at all) are being supported by assistance of some sort. Which means they will grow up on assitance and think it is the correct way to live your life. sorry - no sympathy here.

I am all for those who truly need assistance receiving it, but this is ridiculous. Having and raising a child is a conscious decision - this guy deserves no sympathy or "breaks" in paying. A "break on child support" is a condom.

While we're at it, these 11 women are out of their minds too - if a man has thirty children, how on earth is he going to be able to support all of them? I believe that people should have to apply to procreate, and stuff like this just solidifies my beliefs. You have to apply to adopt a puppy, but any couple of numbnuts can have a child, no questions asked.

I feel sorry for these kids.

Hey I just had an idea on how to give him the break he wants and this could be beneficial to everyone. He takes out a nice big life insurance policy and then "accidently" gets killed. Money is divided up between children and you can't get much more sterilized than that lol. I keeed , I keeeed..............................*sigh*

What is most sad about this is that this guy is one of a million men who do this. The kids are 30 of how many, growing up in an enviroment where they are learning no accountability, the government providing for them and that dad's $7.25/hr job is hard work. His grandkids alone will probably equal 100 deadbeat, welfare mooches.

I'm just gonna say what we're all thinking. He may be dumb, but he must be a dynamo in the sack.

Perhaps he should consider a lucrative career in porn? Clearly bangin is what he is best at, so maybe he should make a professional go at it. He'd make at least enough to get those kids more than $2 a month.

And seriously, the only break he should get is a free vasectomy. He's not smart enough for condoms (or even the pull-out method which is up to 96% effective), so I'd be willing to throw $50 his way for a vasectomy. We should get a kickstarter going! Who's in?

As they say, it's the motion of the ocean not the size of the sea!

It would seem, whether or not he's a stud muffin or hung like a horse, that he certainly has strong swimmers and/or has been (un)lucky to find particularly fecund women.

I think the court should have imposed a vasectomy order on him when he stood before them as plaintiff of 21 children. To father a further 9 children in three years is totally irresponsible.

But let's not absolve the mothers of all responsibility in all of this. They too were responsible for getting pregnant and they should also be held responsible for childcare costs.

Sadly, too many children are conceived not out of love, but out of wanton lust and irresponsible sex. The chances are also high that these children will go on to repeat the behaviour of their forebears, although a sensible few might see the error of their parents' ways.

Here is a little background on the Lady's Man. I changed my mind about sterilization, he just needs to be put down, you know like we do to uncontrollable dogs.............oops there is my in Emily's world thoughts again, sorry.

Hatchett, who has been locked up for the last 33 months. Hatchett was jailed after a judge revoked his probation in August 2009.

Hatchett had been sentenced to six years in prison for aggravated assault, but had the majority of that term suspended in lieu of “enhanced probation.” He quickly violated his probation terms by getting arrested for domestic violence, violating curfew, and lying about his whereabouts to his probation officer.

Now imprisoned in the Morgan County Correctional Complex, Hatchett’s sentence is scheduled to expire in November 2014. He has lost two parole bids, most recently in December 2011.

Hatchett has a “very long and serious criminal history” that includes “multiple assaults, multiple thefts, aggravated assault, multiple evading arrests, and several driving assaults,” according to a probation violation report. He has also been collared on narcotics charges and has shown “contempt for the rules of probation and of the court.” In fact, his rap sheet runs 14 pages.

    Which apparently impresses the ladies

Condoms are a lot cheaper than child support. He made the wrong choice.

I'd kick in for that, and I'm not even a US taxpayer! What an absurd situation.

Re. the 14-page rap-sheet, one might wonder whether it ought also to include a few charges of rape - surely all 11 of these women can't be that stupid/irresponsible/'bad-boy-struck'?! If he has that sort of rap-sheet... In the sort of environment I'm (possibly erroneously) assuming this is all happening in, reported rape is often very, very low, because women fear violent reprisal if they report sexual attacks. Another very good reason to have universal free medical contraception - at least women can then afford to protect themselves from unwanted pregnancy if they are raped or forced into sex. Small consolation, I'm sure, but....
