Heart Rate Monitor vs. Stationary Bike

Hi All,
I figured that there is a discrepancy between what my stationary bike says for calorie burn and what my HRM says. So I tested that on Thursday by wearing my HRM while on the bike. I thought maybe it would be a difference of somewhere around 50 calories. There was actually a 140 calorie difference (HRM said less than bike). Which one do you think I should go with here? Should I average them for the day, or does anyone have an idea why this discrepancy would be that much? That's a whole can of Coke.
Thanks,
Suzanne
