I just realized that I do zero weight training....Is that really bad??? I'm just scared I'll bulk up cause genetically in my family, we are very muscular. And in the past, my arms got really buff from weight training....Did I just do it wrong???

I don't own any weights right now, so can I substitute using weights for regular resistance training like floor push-ups???

Help me.....

I wouldn't say that it's completely BAD... but more muscle means burning more calories. And you won't buik up in a calorie deficit.

Check out the book "the new rules of lifting for women" you may be able to get it from your local library. Quite honestly women don't have the amount hormones in thier bodies to cause a "bodybuilder type" bulk.

I agree. I don't think a limited amount of strength training is necessarily bad; however muscle does help in the weigh loss process. I would say if you feel you're going to bulk up, limit the strength training, but don't avoid it entirely.
