I have fallen off the wagon and need someone to drag my *kitten* back. The thing is I am not logging kickball and softball as exercise even though I know I burn more calories then normal I don't think it is enough to add since there is a lot of standing around. I do log my runs since I want to keep track of those for my half marathon.
My food I start out and usually log breakfast, and then 50% of the time lunch and forget to log dinner.
I was very good about logging for first 1.5 years I was on here and then just hit a brick wall.0 -
I suck at life. lol.
I was actually going to put a post up today about diet and dating. Since I started dating Jersey .. my diet has gone out the window. Gone. Poof. Along with my wilpower to forge on. Before we started dating I was exercising 5-6 days a week at the very least 30 mins. Sometimes 90 mins. I logged every single bite .. over estimated calories .. now .. nothing.
I am very frustrated with myself.
I was thinking the same thing. Not just dating but trying to be socialable. It seems like most dating/social activities involve food and/or alcohol and I have a hard time finding a way not to slide when I start getting out into the world more.
I just thought of a genius idea! A dating website catered to a healthy lifestyle! Screw farmersonly.com and richmen.com
You can have options to search for people who eat certain ways.0 -
I took a couple weeks off from logging food, when my stepmom had heart surgery as we were always at the hospital. Started again, and I log it for the nutritionist that I see, for a guide.......because she has my calories way lower than what MFP gives me. I have not been good about exercising at all, but am planning on changing that as soon as I move!!!!
I agree with some of the others ............if I have diet/fitness question I search it, but some of the people outside of single peeps are MEAN!!! and mean people suck!!!0 -

I havent been to all the other forums but I have bounced all over and I agree with those of you who have posted about how great our single peeps community is vice the whole open forum.
I dont put too much stock into a lot of the nasty vindictive people out on the forums, it is really easy to be a keyboard tough guy after all. I do like the level of respect and decorum here in the single peeps group.
A big part of my post was just to maybe jar some folks back into their workout routines who may have hit a slump. I know that MFP helps me with tracking and logging but even with all that, I have days that I do not want to do any exercise, but I have a good workout partner so when one of us is feeling blah the other one steps in and makes sure we do our daily PT. It is also easier for us because we literally have a gym about 50 feet down the hall in our compound. I know that not everyone has a workout partner nor do they have a job that lets them workout a couple of hours everyday during the workday. But I did hope to maybe spark some folks back onto the fitness plan that were maybe in a slump. We have all been there and will all be there again, so I tried to give a gentle nudge!
Despite all that, did everyone see the poster who said they reversed thier diabetes!!!! That is amazing, and I didnt even realize that could happen! Congrats to you!
Happy exercising everyone!!0 -

I've actually heard ok reviews about www.fitness-singles.com0 -
Over the past few years, I have learned to enjoy exercise and recently started lifting which I really love! I feel so much better mentally and physically. I workout 5-6x per week. Although I haven't seen alot of progress on the scale overall, I am no longer prediabetic (was for over 10 years) so I am very proud of that. Figure I'm getting healthy from the inside out. I log pretty consistently overall and find it helpful, but life gets in the way sometimes.
I enjoy the Single Peeps group. The people here seem like they genuinely like each other and have each other's best interests at heart..and I'm interested in the various topics discussed and advice/experiences shared. While the forums can make for some interesting & fun reading, there are definitely some crazy-*kitten* people out there.

I just started logging again this week. Been very inconsistent all year. I dunno why, hmmm, I think I just got bored of it? :ohwell:
I've gone from 6 workouts per week to about 3. New job, less time, lack of motivation? :ohwell:
Sometimes my switch just goes off and on of its own accord. I've kinda loss the buzz I suppose..
What I will say though, is that the single peeps keep my spirits up and keeps me logging in here EVEN if I can't be arsed to log.
That in itself keeps me thinking about how important health and fitness is. If I look at how I was before MFP, I dont overeat anymore and I exercise more consistenly now than I ever have in my life, so just cos you dont log or burn every day doesnt mean you aren't conscious of what you're doing :flowerforyou:0 -

You kinda helped me! I definitely didn't snack as much today as I normally do and I had a good work out!0 -
That's awesome because every time I see your 50 lbs lost it gets my butt in gear for my last 15 ish0

I guess my biggest problem is that my only exercise seems to be horseback riding. I should try to workout more, and would love to go jogging, but my knee won't allow it.
Yeah, I should figure out something other to do instead. Always want what I can't get :laugh:0
