I'm getting nervous about this pregnancy and my weight gain. I can't eat my normal "healthier" foods I've been cooking before. I can't handle anything prepared by myself. So I end up eating a lot of crap. Frozen crap. Pizza, waffles,or pasta for dinner cuz i just can't handle any other food group right now. I learned to control my sugar intake before getting pregnant but I've noticed recently I need to eat some cookies or have an ice bar. WHich I barely touched the last 6 months...
I need some hints for healthier foods whiled I pass this terrible eating phase. I craved this sort of food when I was pregnant with my 1st son. And I gained 60lbs. I will cry if I gain that much. I need to stay under 30lbs. I'm 9wks and haven't gained 1lb yet. But that's probably cuz i've been sticking with cardio almost every single day. Please help...

Don't worry! It will pass! What I did was buy a couple of prepared salads in the deli section of the grocery store when I went shopping. It make a big difference when I am too tired to prep anything and pizza sounds sooooo good. A few bites of salad goes a long way to stave off the hunger pains.0

I am in the same boat. Although i can stomach the healthy food my body is craving chips, velveeta and cookies. i have tried to limit as much as i can. I make myself healthy stuff for the day and make myself eat it first then I allow myself the junk that my body wants.
You have to look at it this way, to grow a healthy baby you need to eat healthy food, so make sure you force yourself to eat something healthy. It could be simple stuff like whole wheat toast, an apple or any kind of sweet fruit, dress up vegetables with ranch dressing or what i like to do to get more calcuim and eat junk is melt cheese with salsa for your own queso dip
I know its hard, but sometimes you kinda have to force yourself to eat good0 -
I am the same exact way. If I look at a bag of veggies or salad I get nauseous and I only want carbs and sweets in general.
I've been trying to incorporate vegetables in my day anyway, bc I know that the baby and I need them. So for instance I'll make spaghetti for dinner, but instead of noodles, I'll place my spaghetti meat sauce over veggies instead. Or I try to get creative with my salads using different toppings to mask the lettuce underneath lol
I also find that I can eat stir-fry vegetables easier than regular boiled/steamed veggies. So I'll take a pan and throw in a protein, chopped eggplant, bell peppers, onions, teriyaki sauce and sautee until done and the flavor is usually pretty awesome. Also try roasting veggies in the oven, gives them a crispy texture, and can remind you of chips/carbs.0 -
Make a green smoothie? They look nasty, but just taste like chocolate or whatever other flavor you add
I like vanilla almond milk, chocolate whey protein, frozen banana and fresh spinach - add ice and milk to desired consistency. 0 -
You are not going to be completeyly control what you can stomach. Do the best you can and try to work in fruits and veggies like another person said. If you have only gained 1lb it sounds like you're doing great so far, just do the best you can and keep up the exercise!0

i'm defiantly going to put more effort in adding the veggies and more salad. and fruit insted of cookies and ice cream. I'm going to stop buying them completly for awhile or at least till this phase ends so I don't go crazy.
thank u for the tips0 -
