I don't really care much for reading in or posting in the Success Stories of the forums. I'd rather post my progress pictures within this group guys. So thought I'd start a topic for just this group. I'll start.

So, I got tagged in a Facebook photo from a party I attended on Wednesday. I can honestly say I haven't seen a recent picture taken of me for awhile. I tend to try to stay away from that sort of thing. I was amazed at the progress I've made in a little under 5 months. The weird thing is that when I look in the mirror, I still see a fat guy. But seeing a picture of me and my wife really showed me what other people are seeing and it really is encouraging.

This first picture was taken at Christmas with the youngest of my three daughters. I look absolutely terrible. This was at 251. I started on MFP on Jan. 4.

Now, here is a picture that was taken of me and my wife a couple days ago at 209.

Just thought I'd share. Anyone else?

Wow, five months. That is really impressive. You really look like the younger brother of the guy in the first picture.

I totally understand on not seeing it day by day. I struggle with that myself. Even with clothes that are basically falling off from the weight loss I look in the mirror and say I don't see a real change. I think that is why I still rely on the scale and bodyfat measurements to acknowledge my progress.

Hope you have a fantastic weekend.

That's great. I can see the results, especially in your face and neck. Your family should be very proud of you. Good job.

I don't have any recent pictures. I started Feb. 6th at 254 and I'm down to 221 as of today. I plan on posting pics when I get down to 200.

    Again, good job.

That is fantastic! It is hard to see it ourselves sometimes. I know I have flatlined for so long, that I have a hard time remembering where I started so long ago. When I get bummed out I make a new before/after picture to remind myself that I am in fact not the same guy still.

The old pic in this one is actually about 8-10 years ago. It was probably at my worst.
