Champagne it is!!! Yay for wedding dresses haha

:drinker: How exciting!!!! Are we going to see a pic maybe? of the dress... not the champagne

Bahahaha if you search for Kittychen Summer it comes up. It's a pink ball gown with a beautiful silver jeweled belt and silver accents  some others may come up, the girl is standing with one arm kind of up in the air.

OMG...That is stunning! That is definitely motivation in my book!

 thanks. When I went for my fitting the woman said I was small already and I said well this is with holiday weight and I plan to lose it. Last I weighed I was about 4-8 pounds away from where I want to be for the wedding (the two weights I'd like to stick between and where my short self is comfortable haha) so it's definitely some good motivation to shed these last pounds before the wedding. I've got a little over 3 months and since my dress laces it can go tighter or looser so no matter what I should be good

    Beautiful dress!!

My parents spend thousands...and I mean MANY thousands on my wedding (I'm the only girl and the youngest) and I got very caught up in the whole process.
Looking back 25 years later, I wish I (we) had spent less and done it differently.

But the best advice I have is to take time to enjoy the process of planning...be present...and enjoy the actual day as well..because it all goes by in a flash. :)

My fiancé is paying for it all and yet I'm the one freaking out about the money. It just baffles me how much everything is adding up :noway: yet he seems fine with it, which I guess is a good thing. We will certainly enjoy it, it won't be like many other weddings and we are having a great photographer as well as videographer so we will be able to see it all over again. It's a manor so there are different dining rooms and everyone will eat in the dining rooms but my fiancé and I will be seated in front of the mast fire place just ourselves so we have not only time to eat but some time just the two of us  I know it'll be well worth all of this stress and it's coming so soon!!!!!

Darn, I want to see the dress but my company blocked the website so I will have to wait until I get home.

I survived dinner even without my husband (another kidney stone battle kept him home). I got in a great walk after dinner and I was civil to my bro so it was all good. Since I was driving I only had about 8 ounces of wine before and with dinner. when I got home I decided not to have a night cap and I was proud of myself.

Amys - How are thing in Colorado with all the fires? I hope you are both okay.

I agree, the dress is darn pretty cute.

Good job on the self-control Robin.

    Monday, 6
Tuesday, 3 beers...I can't remember the name of them...but, they were darn good.

I wasn't going to drink last night and some friends really wanted us to go. Who am I to be snobbish??

Hopefully, today will be better. No ballgame. But, I will be river tubing and an ice cold beer sounds yumm-ish. Being Lush-*kitten* has it's problems. The scale today reflected that with another gain. Yuck!!

    Hi Lushes,

Going to try to stay on the wagon today through the weekend, seems like lately I get on and then someone pushes me off.

nisi - have a wonderful time tubing! I just went this past Sunday and it was a blast! Luckily we have had a fair amount of rain so I didn't have to get out once to walk through the shallows and the little white water parts with the small waterfalls were amazing!

Well, one mile away from the tubing place, I was involved in a car accident. Partially my fault, I guess. I thought I had to make a left turn and it was actually a right. So, I quickly veered the car to the right to make the turn. Apparently, the person behind me thought it was a good idea to pass me on the shoulder. Jeez Louise, I get in more predicaments. Thank God for belt buckles and shoe laces.

We still went tubing and I didn't let it ruin my day. However, I am a bit pissy about all the work I have to do now as far as insurance and repair. I am hoping to not be at fault. Funny thing is, my daughter said that I should drive faster because that car was all up my rear.

    Monday, 6 or 7
    Tuesday, 3
    Wednesday, 5

Tonight and maybe for rest of my life, I am not going to drink anything else. I just feel gross, haven't been exercising and the scale jumped yesterday. Lips are sealed, my friends. Lips are sealed....

Kim sorry about the accident but I am glad you are okay. I have the same feelings sometimes about never having another drink but it never lasts that long. I really like the tast of wine, beer and liquor. I start to miss it. I wish you luck with the sealed lips and I can send some duct tape your way if you need it.

Kat I finally got to see your dress website. It is absolutely stunning. You are going to be an incredibly beautiful bride.

For me, I have two weeks left before I start my new position so I see a lot of vodka in my near future.

    Happy lushing my friends.

Robin, the sad truth is day 3 will roll around and will find new strength for alcohol. However, I need a good night of sleep tonight and my body just needs to recoup.

I'm off to the last ballgame of the regular season and then I'll have one weekend of tournaments and baseball is over for 2012. I have to admit they are all so darn cute tho.

    Goodnight Lushes!!

Sounds like fun weekend plans means drinking for many of us!

Keeping it low key here. 0 last night but I indulged in pizza and it was freakin delicious.
Maybe a glass of wine tonight. I'm hoping for a kick *kitten* workout and then relax at the pool.

    TGIF everyone! :drinker:
