My son (who is normally quite the ladies man) saw a pretty classmate and asked me if he coule say hi to her. When he rejoined me, I asked how it went. He told me he saw her, but was too scared to say hi.
Why? Because he was too afraid that she wouldn't say hi back, and didn't want to risk it!

Well if he is normally a ladies man and this one got him all scared, I'd say that he think she's kinda special and it's probably fear of rejection.0 -

Yeah, lol, this one is kinda special. You should have seen is little face when he talked about her. He's only 6!! What AM I gonna do when he's 16?????Awwww...:frown: :ohwell:

I told him nothing ventured nothing gained. You'll never know unless you try. And it would probably make her day if you said hi. Sometimes people have a lot going on in their life/are thinking about something else and if she doesn't notice him not to take it personal. So next time try even if you're scared she won't respond.
I guess that's pretty heavy convo for a 6 year old... but HE'S the one saying he didn't wanna be so hurt if she didn't notice him or say hi back. I don't even think I *knew* what rejection was until well into middle school, lol!0 -
Awwwww
I think by the time he's 16 he will have it down to a fine art :bigsmile:0
