Here in Hawai'i, we love rice! How do you incorporate rice into your diet without wreaking havoc on it? Lately, I feel afraid of rice which makes me sad because I do love it so much!

I love rice! It's one of my weaknesses. I do my best to measure it out and only eat one serving, but I have a bad habit of finishing off what's left over after everyone is finished eating. :o( I try to only prepare what I KNOW everyone will eat, that way there's no extra for me.

In our house we have a soft spot for home made sushi, and particularly musubi, it wasn't until MFP that I realised how high in calories rice can be, I mean I can't use anything but sticky rice for that! Add in shoyu sauce and MFP starts yelling at me about sodium too. :)

Rice by itself isn't a problem if you're burning all those calories! :D

True, and it's so tasty I'm totally happy working the calories off!
  • rice for me, right now anyway, is optional. I really like it, being raised here and being chinese doesn't help!!!! I do brown rice, but a serving size is half cup or a single scoop.
