Question for all you ladies:

If you are having uncomfortable cramps and a heavy period, do you....

A: Lift anyway, the exercise makes me feel better...

B: Lift anyway, even though it sucks, because I'm a masochist...

C: Lay on the couch and say F it...

:( sorry, I don't get much in the way of bad symptoms but what symptoms I DO get seem to be alleviated by lifting, and I HAVE lifted with cramps and found it helped.

I'd say go, plan to potentially deload but don't do it until you try your workweights and see how you feel, if its miserable with your work weight, deload, if its still miserable, give it up.

It doesnt hurt to try though, sometimes it does help it feel better.

I've done B and C at varying times.

My periods are heavy and can be debilitating. If it's bad, I don't go. If it's moderate, I'll deload an do what I can.

But some forms of birth control minimize or eliminate my cycles. Depo made them go away completely. I just switched to Mirena. Hopefully now that 6 weeks of spotting has stopped, the periods will be light or non-existent soon.

I had Depo for 4 years, and a Mirena for the last 5. I JUST got a tubal last month. First time on NO BC for about 16 years. First real period in almost as long. It is awful! I forgot what it was like!

My BFF had the old implant in the arm that lasted 5 years. She got it twice. When she went to get it a third time, they'd stopped making it. So, yeah, after 10 years of no periods, she had a hard time readjusting.

I'm like tameko...I hardly ever have painful symptoms. I'm not on any kind of birth control.

I would probably go anyway but very deloaded. And then come home and drink all the wine.
