I am on crutches and not allowed to put any weight on my right ankle. I think I need strength training because sometimes I do fall down and I have a hard time getting back up. I am also trying to lose weight so I was wondering if there is any safe strength training out there that I can do safely and not have to worry about falling or putting any weight on my foot

I would, but I don't have the money just to go ask something like that. I can barely even get seen for the issues right now. I have to use financial aid

having had some serious ankle stability issues in the past, i did have the benefit of physical therapy. I can say that the strength training and losing weight did more to resolve my issues that the PT.
you shouldn't just jump into a rehab or strength program, especially if you have underlying problems that will complicate the process. if you can't afford a consult with a trainer or a sports medicine pro, you are going to have to do the research yourself and start carefully. i dont know the qualifications of anyone on these boards, but there are some posters i would trust over most others and please remember this isn't the best place to get objective information. if you are immobile now, it would be a great time to start reading and learning.
    good luck with your journey.
