Yesterday was my first sprint triathlon. It was in Tybee Island, Georgia, which was a great location. The swim actually ended being pretty bad because the tide shifted the night before, so we swam against the tide. Ouch! It was very choppy and they were pulling people out right and left. The bike was flat except for one huge hill on a bridge. The run was totally flat. I had a 5k PR of 24:28. My total time was 1:30:42. I was shocked. If I had registered in age group, I would have been 2nd, but I was registered as novice. I'm hooked!

Awesome. Have another race planned? The 5K time is pretty darn impressive I have to say.

Yep! It was so strange. I came over the finish line and my husband said, "do you know what your 5k time was?" I told him I didn't but I felt like it was around 30 minutes. He said, "Nope! 24:25" and showed me his watch. When the official results came out, I saw that he was right within a few seconds. I about died!

So....I am registered for another this Sunday. I just want to try it again.
