Where exactly do you measure waist, hips, arms etc? Would your waist be at the belly button?

Sorry about the typo in the topic btw.

it doesn't REALLY matter as long as you measure consistently.

waist is generally your narrowest point on your torso - I like to measure both waist AND "abdomen" - the fat part of your belly, over the belly button is a good way to remember it.

I did measurements on my arms at a point in the middle (And legs too) but in some ways I wish I had measured both the middle and the fattest part, because I stopped seeing measurement changes in my arms and legs where I measured but the shape of them changed so i know they were still shrinking but basically had no way to judge it anymore.

I agree "waist" is narrowest part, where you bend. I also measure hips, bust, calves, and thighs.

    Where do I measure hips...

I wear briefs, so on the side of my leg, where my undies end, that's the level I measure at.

Another option is to measure your widest part of the butt/hip area, just let the tape measure loosen until you find it. It'll change, both in size and in where you measure it, but that's the point :)

I forgot to mention where I measure each. Hips is at the widest point. Same with calves and thighs. I always use the widest part, except waist.
