I have a 7 year old... who is also accustomed to delicious treats. I just stopped buying the things I know I will crave. He doesn't ask questions- what we have is what we have. Every once in awhile at the store or gas station, I'll let him pick out a sweet treat... but there's only one. And he usually eats it right then, so there's no temptation for me. You're right, it's not her that is dieting- but why wouldn't you want to feed her healthy snacks? Cucumbers and carrot chips with ranch to dip, trail mix in single serving packs, applesauce, granola bars, string cheese, peanut butter and honey on a tortilla, yogurt, etc. I also buy a lot of single serving packs for on-the-go like Goldfish crackers, raisins, peanut butter Ritz crackers, etc. Those type of things aren't going to sabotage your diet if you decide to eat them. :)

I have two boys... I know what you mean! I simply can't successfully diet without a big ol TREAT waiting for me at the end of the day!! I enjoy a delicious non fat frozen yogurt almost every single night. I choose the 8 oz, which is about 200 calories. And I work that into my eating plan every day. If I didn't have that treat, I would eat so many other treats throughout the day. But knowing that I have this waiting for me makes a huge difference. My favorite is Penguin Frozen Yogurt- see if there is one near you!
