The Heritage Quarries Recreation Area adds an additional 3.8-mile trail extension to the existing three miles of trails along the original I and M Canal towpath. The trail extension weaves the Heritage Quarries into the original trail. Four pedestrian bridges provide access to the public for hiking, biking, and fishing opportunities in a nearly 100-acre pristine, natural area previously inaccessible for recreation.

The Wabash Heritage Trail spans from Battle Ground, IN to West Lafayette, just past Purdue's campus. It's a 13 mile total trail but is broken up in nice increments of a few miles so you can park, fish, etc... It is a river-side trail but begins and the site of the Battle of Tippecanoe from 1811.
We usually do about 5 miles and park one car at each end. Loving it!0 -
