My new favorite PC game: Krater

So there's a new game out called Krater, you can make a lot of similarities to other games about it. It has an overhead isometric view like Diablo/Fallout 1/2, has loot, has multi-character parties, a big, open world, random dungeon and over world encounters. An more apt comparison might be Baldur's Gate from Bioware though.

It should give you a good idea of how the game plays.
You can buy it through Steam for $15 or $20 depending on the Standard or Gold Edition, but if you buy it directly from the developers, it's only $16 for the Gold Edition, which comes with an extra healer character and the game soundtrack (which is awesome).

If you enjoy loot and character driven games, I highly recommend at least checking out the gameplay video. July 10th they're adding online coop to the game, which should be pretty great. This is definitely a "work-in-progress" type of game, they're constantly patching and adding content.
