Sounds like a great week planned Alyssa. My goal for the week is to be active every day this week. I still have not set my schedule for the week! Have a good week everyone!

Whew! I cannot imagine doing all that! My measly goals ;) are:
Monday - swim (I have a private lesson) and bike 30 mins
    Tuesday - Strength
    Wednesday - Run 25
    Thursday - Swim 25
    Friday - Bike 45
Then I'm traveling all day Saturday. My friend talked me into running a 10K with her on the 4th. It's been a few months since I've run that far, but I did 4.2 today without much difficulty, so maybe I'll be able to run it all. Have a good week all!

Hi all! Sorry I've been away for a while. For the last three weeks (give or take) I've had an awful chest infection which caused me to develop asthma-symptoms so the doc has had me off exercise. Three week of sitting around (and taking steroids - damn those things make you HUNGRY, not to mention a bit puffy) and I've lost so much of my fitness and put on some weight. Sigh. I've had to drop out of my tri in two weeks BUT I've found a new one at the end of September that I think will be a good gradual goal for me. Anyway, that was a long winded way of saying that my week might not look like much but it's more than I've done in ages!

    Monday - short walk/run
    Tuesday - short cycle
    Wednesday - swim
    Thursday - strength training
    Friday - rest

    Have a fabulous week everyone!

    :)

A little running, some swimming, a bike ride or two and weight sessions...I think I am at 17 hours for the week. 62 days until Ironman Louisville.

When do you rest and let your body recover?

    Hey everyone-good goals!
As for rest days-I am trying to figure out how to deal with rest days-I tend to over-eat, be grumpy and antsy and can't wake up for the following workouts-I am toying with the idea of a more gentle workout-like walks and gentle bikes...that said-this workout was because I was supposed to be visiting my home city-but work recalled me, so there will be far less swimming and my calves are seizing so yoga might replace some other things...also likely 2 weight sessions instead of three...time will tell!
Have a great week and exciting countdown!!

Fridays are my complete rest days. I do two workouts most other days at this point. The body feels great and I have no reason to vary the my training schedule.
