That didn't go the way I expected... and I'm okay with that

I had a first "date" tonight (online dating thing). It was the type I was looking forward to more than others because he was handsome and we had been messaging long notes back and forth for a while. Saw him in person and he lived up to my expectations. The conversation seemed to go fairly smoothly. At the end, he gave me the *total* brushoff. I was a little surprised. I thought he'd go for a kiss on the cheek at least, but no.

Anyway, there was a total shift in my attitude about it, even as I was walking away. We always say, "ahh, it's his/her loss," but tonight was the first time I REALLY felt that way. I totally feel like I am awesome, funny, hot and if he didn't see that... well, sucks for him, lol. Talk about a great feeling!

(Of course it probably helps that I'm also currently dating two gentlemen, lol)

Maybe he is like me - I might have a great time with someone on a date but I probably wouldn't kiss them on the first date, or even kiss their cheek. I guess that isn't a sign he's trying to brush you off in my book, but maybe what he said compounded on it? Did he say anything?

Umm, yeah, it was totally what he said. Something along the lines of, "well, you know, I'm looking for friends too, so if you ever wanna hang out, give me a call." lol, yeah, brush off. No worries though.

I dated a guy (who later turned into the only guy who I have ever loved, or has ever broken my heart :grumble:) and he did not kiss me for a whole month. When I asked him later why it took so long he said because he really liked me and respected me and he wanted to take it slow :blushing: I have always been kind of fast in the kissing department so it was hard waiting for it, but it was worth it. So maybe you didnt get the brush off :flowerforyou:

Totally worth it if you got free drinks or a free nice dinner out of it. Don't hate the player, hate the game. right?
