I'm new to paleo.... still learning about it. I saw this on everyday paleo website. Looks good though I may spice it up a bit. Im considering buying the book....
Avocado Chicken Salad
* 1 cup chicken, diced
* 1 egg, diced
* 2 tbps diced red onion
* 1/4 cup diced celery or zucchini
* 1 avocado, ripe
* 1 lemon, juiced
* salt to taste
Dice your chicken, egg, onion, and celery. Scoop your avocado into a bowl and mash with a fork until creamy. Mix in lemon juice and a couple dashes of salt. Add your diced foods to the bowl and mix until coated. You can eat it on bread, with chips or crackers, or if staying gluten-free and Paleo, put on a large leaf of lettuce and wrap up to eat!

Hello Rain,
I have those books:

They are awesome books to start Paleo Diet. It is pretty easy to read and they are very visual books.
Note: "Make it Paleo" has awesome dessert recipes. The pumpkin pie is so good! 100% nut crust. My wife and I love it to death.
If you are on limited budget you might want to stop by at a local farm market so that way you'll save 50% of your gocery budget. By doing that, you are supporting the local farms and you are buying the best quality foods which they are far better than the supermarkets' products (no GMOs, low chemicals, and they lasts longer). For the nuts, you could either buy it in bulk through Costco or order through Amazon. To buy coconut oil, and I'll recommend you to order through Amazon since they are cheaper with the best quality.
For the meats, you could buy in bulk through Costco or local butchers.
Happy shopping!0
