    Wow, that would be a fun one! Sadly, I can't get away that weekend (not to mention, 8 miles is probably beyond me so far...). If you go, please let us know how it is!

    Oooh, I hadn't heard of that! It would be a lot of fun! I keep telling my boyfriend that I want to do a weekend in Mackinac, as I haven't since I was a kid. I'm sure the island would be too busy to actually stay there without spending a fortune, but still fun to spend the day and enjoy the "up north" scenery for the weekend.

    I'm training for my first 10K at the end of July, I'm certain I could add another 2 miles in 5 weeks.

    oooh...I'm out of town for most of September, but this will be a GREAT run/walk. My husband and I took our bikes there last year just after Labor day and it was a PERFECT time of year to be enjoying the weather outdoors there!
