    Hey all - thanks for the responses - after 4 weeks on zoloft i was a total zombie, no energy wanting to sleep all the time - i couldnt excersise as i was sluggish like i was wearing a backpack of weights - and that KILLED me - i love love love my excersize. I was also very numb emotionally. I also gained 6-8 pounds (varied by day!) in 4 weeks - despite healthy eating and ongoing excersise.

    I took myself off it (do not recommend to anyone), and anxiety returned. Now have been prescriped efflexor. Does anyone know anything about it?

    I gained weight during the two years that I was on Effexor. I was able to lose all of it when I went on Celexa. Wellbutrin made me manic and I was only able to take it for about 10 days.

    Everyone is different. :)
