Heya All!
It's that time again. What did you do this weekend?

I went out to karoke this Friday then did a little bar hopping with friends. Ran into a very cute Canadian tourist along the way (SN: If anyone knows a young architect in B.C. named Glen, tell him to call me. lol).
Saturday I went to a church function. It ended super early and I wasn't ready to go home yet so I went bar hopping again, different spot this time though. Accidently crashed a first date of a couple that met on Zoosk (for the record they invited me over to their table). Next, spot I did a little salsa dancing and had a very delicious margarita.
Sunday I went out for breakfast in the wee hours of the morning with my cousin to celebrate our birthday. The restaurant even hooked us up with free ice cream sundaes with candles (so sweet). Later that day, I went to an art show with some friends and met this guy that was VERY attractive. We'll see where things with him go. Went over to my cousin's house where we celebrated our birthday yet again with shots of coconut Ciroc and card games.
Overall, I had a BLAST!

Sounds like you had a great productive weekend!
    :drinker:

On Friday my parents and I packed up my apt and went to bed late. Saturday I had my cousin, her hub and her brother come in from Houston and we all moved my stuff into the Uhaul. I stayed behind in my apt with a coffee maker, air mattress, laptop and some clothes.  They were gone by 1pm.

I hung out for a bit, went to the gym, then headed out that night. I decided to paint the town red one more time. I went to meet a friend up at Sherlock's and watched a band for about an hour. Then I headed downtown to a b-day party. It was boring so I left and decided to go dancing.. I was on my own!
Found the gay club so went in there. Boring. Went to the one next door and was watching the folks dance when I see this guy who looks familiar but I'm thinking.. no way that's him.
Well it was!!! I see my friend Justin from HOUSTON. Such a small world! He's one of the most flamoyant awesome cute guys ever! We used to party almost every weekend back in 2008 for some months (after I found out my husband cheated, I checked out for a little while). Anyway, we hugged, jumped up and down, screamed!! I had a blast for the rest of the night and danced my *kitten* off.

Sunday I went to early brunch with my good friend Dana to say bye. We chatted for about 3 hours. I went home decided to take a run around the lake one last time. Then I met up with another friend for dinner and drinks. We chatted for a while as well. By the way, both of these gals are MFP's!!

It was a good weekend. I leave to Galveston tonight around 6pm. Woot!

Very productive! lol It was crazy because it was the first time I had been out after I lost some weight. All these guys were hitting on me and buying me drinks. I only turned down one and that's because he was going to Iraq on Sunday.

Is that the Sherlock's in Humble or are there multiple locations?

Friday night - stayed home. Saturday I stayed with a friend who had surgery. Saturday night - stayed home. Sunday I went rollerblading and had lunch with my non-boyfriend, boyfriend. As usual had the best time ever with him. We hung out til he had to go to work and then I cleaned a tiny bit.

Friday - I went to a meet up at a beer garden that has a bunch of games like *kitten*, mega connect four, chess w/ 3 feet tall chess pieces, etc. Finally learned how to play *kitten*. It was a fun and relaxing night even though it was 100 degrees. Met some more people in the group that I like, both guys and girls.
Saturday - was supposed to go to a movie but my friend backed out so I stayed in and watched some movies since he was pretty much too hot to go out. Watch Labrynth for the first time in 20 years wow what was Jim Hanson smoking?
Sunday - played softball in 105 degree weather which drained me.

I had a good weekend, although it wasn't super exciting, per say haha. I have a five day weekend this week, though, so my weekend coming up is going to be much more exciting!!!! I'm going to a ball on Friday night -- I've never been to one, so I'm a little scared, but very excited too!!!

    played racquetball

Racquetball is a great sport. Really intense workout. I would play it more often if I were better at it. I'm better at tennis. The best shots in racquetball would lose you points in tennis and the best tennis shots aren't necessarily going to win points in racquetball. But racquetball makes tennis look like sitting on the couch eating potato chips in terms of intensity.

There are multiple Sherlock's locations in Texas. They are also in Colorado and Oklahoma.

Friday I got off early and took a nap. I went for a short walk around 5 pm and almost passed out from the heat. That night I went to a fireworks party with a few friends. the fireworks were lame. Saturday, I ran with my group then chilled out for most of the day, playing EA Sports NCAA Football. That night I went out with a different group of friends to another fireworks related party. Picked up a friend and his date. They'd gone out 5 or 6 times. I most likely contributed to no future dates between them (there's another thread on that). Sunday, went for a short bike ride and played some more NCAA Football. I am proud to report that I won Coach of the Year, a National Championship, and had the Number 1 recruiting class in the nation. I just rock that way!

It was unexpected -- my company decided to basically shut down for the week starting Wednesday due to slow production and the holiday. Worked out pretty well for me!

I'm going dress shopping tonight and getting my hair cut Thursday!! I'm going to look so good!

Friday I came back from camping with my boys. Friday night I went to a "wine weekend" dinner (a group of people I went wine tasting with a couple of months ago). Saturday I took my boys to a SF Giant's game...me my whole family there! Lots of fun. Sunday, I was happy to have nothing to do but go to church. Stayed home and cleaned and did laundry and didn't drive anywhere!

Don't forget to take pictures. I can't wait to see what it looks like.

Friday I babysat my niece for a few hours then had dinner with my Aunt from Kentucky before she went home on Saturday. Saturday and Sunday were pretty much a wash. Should be in Michigan right now, but when I woke up today I started vomiting so moved my flight until tomorrow. Tomorrow if information is accurate should be my only day of work this week. Feeling fine now, just a little weak and wishing I made the flight now or just caught a later one today but with a $150 change fee (plus the additional $200 in fare difference) I went with the safer option.

It's better to be safe than sorry. You wouldn't have wanted to be the one up and down from your seat on the plane sticking up the lavatory. There's no telling what upset your stomach and how flying would have affected you. I'm hoping you feel better now!

Oh it was definitely Crohn's disease, and I wouldn't of minded at all! not like I know the other people on the plane! It was the hour drive to the airport and then from the airport that would of annoyed me.

I had a wonderful Friday night and Saturday/Saturday night with SL, although I woke up Friday to realize that I'd left my car unlocked and someone stole my entire wallet and my sunglasses.

We ended up going to Walmart afterwards to buy tampons, body wash (for SL), and bullets for his rifle. I feel bad cuz he had to buy me tampons.. and it starts! Haha.

We went fishin, drank beer, cooked dinner together, and had a blast with our doggies. Sunday he had duty all day (:frown:) but I offered to watch his doggies so I spent the day at his place after I spent a few hours at my house doing some yardwork and housework.

He gives me such warm fuzzies. :smooched:

Had another pretty decent weekend. Saturday I went bowling with the girl and some of her friends, then after I road around with her and checked out random places then finally watched some movies that night.

Sunday I actually decided to clean my place up some and got alot done. There was also a fireworks event going on that night so that was another good opportunity to spent some time with her.

    Overall a pretty eventful weekend!

Repost... I originally posted a longer version in the other weekend thread...

Spent 6 hours talking with my old friend from the conference. He started off the convo talking about how he didn't want to date a woman with kids and how he wasn't willing to do another long distance relationship. We had a fun discussion, including where he recounted in great detail the conference we were at and what I was wearing when we met 15 years ago (I remember that dress, too!). We talked about Marriage Builders/Love Languages (both similar philosophies and we had a lot in common there as well). He called me beautiful a million times, and yeah I ate it up, and we've made plans for a visit. I'm still confused as to why he would sound like he's into me when I trip two of his deal-breakers (kids and distance), but I'll enjoy the attention while it lasts.

Those are probably things he would prefer NOT to have but he likes you enough to get over them. I'd say ask him about them one day, if yall end up meeting up more.

On Friday I went to dinner and show - first date, and it was ok--we got along, food was good, and show was great.
Saturday my cousin and I spent the day at Misquamicut (ocean in RI)...that was a great day, waves knocked me down a few times, but was still fun :)
Sunday did errands, grocery shopping lay low kind of day.

Monday I got an email from my date Fri night saying I was nice , blah blah, but not what he was looking for in a romantic partner, so NEXT!! Actually, was grateful for the email instead of him just vanishing, which seems to be the norm.

Then Monday afternoon, my sisters' house burned to the ground--no one hurt, but she and her boyfriend and 2 babies lost EVERYTHING--their house, their car, my sister could not even got in to get her purse. But, we are grateful they all got out safely -including their dog- and so happy about that. And, the community support is amazing and ovewhelming!

So I had a suprise visitor this weekend one of my oldest and dearest friends came up from the keys this weekend and crashed on my couch.....:drinker:
Friday night I went out with my sister, squirrely(old friend) and MR. Nice guy. We had a blast. I don't know exactly what my best friend told Mr. Nice guy the other day but all of a sudden the man had personality . He wasn't shy. We actually hit it off really well. We sang a duet and joked and flirted and talked lol....

Saturday FWB and the D.J. came out along with a ton of other people. I spent all night flirting with the D.J who seemed to make it his life mission to get me drunk lol.... Nothing happened I think the guy just likes flirting with me:smokin: . When that bar closed we all went to the after hours bar/dance club and danced til 5 am... lol I think I confused FWB though cause I didn't invite him home with me. He did however feel the need to make sure my friend (squirrely ) knew that we've been hooking up.

Sunday I went out with Mr. Nice guy just him and me. We went and played pool and just sat talking and finding out how much we had in common. Then we went back to the house and watched a movie :blushing: ......problem is he is out of town for the next month helping out a family member:grumble: ... But since he left hes already texted me and told me how much he misses me lol....
Sometime nice guys DON'T finish last lol... We will see what happens when he gets back..

Monday--I went out with about 10 of my friends to enjoy some kareoke. FWB came out and so did power plant guy .... It was a very interesting evening to say the least. FWB came home with me but only cause he was my ride to the bar ... and all we did was sleep cause he was trashed..

Tonight should be interesting because I'm not sure what 'm doing tonight and with whom.... I've got an invite to the country bar , the kareoke bar and a pool hall. All with different people lol....But I'm sure I'm doing something tonight...
