I'd like to join, but can we do knee push-ups, or is this only for the standard push-ups? Thanks!

I am going to do the alternative push ups. I am in.

    I am a level 2 :-(

I can do 12 alternative push-ups so I guess that's level 3. Surprising for me because I started the 30 day shred a couple weeks ago and couldn't do 1 push up without dying! I am excited to start this :)

Really excited to start this! I somehow managed 12 full ones. A few weeks ago I could only do about 2! Let's do this :D

I'd suggest doing knee push-ups until you feel strong enough to do a few standards. If you can already do about 3 consecutive standard push-ups, try starting with them (they'll give you a better core workout and improve your stability!)

    impressive :)
  • Initial Test--16 standard, so Level 3.
Well, a couple months ago I could do maybe three standard pushups, and maybe 15 kneeling ones, so, hey, I'm pretty excited about my placement.
  • Im at rank 3, and did 25 real ones surprisingly

Now to start at week three...and believe I can do it!

I'm level 3 with 14 alternative (knee) push-ups. Will work to get to standard ones as I build upper body strength. This will be fun! Thanks for starting the group!
  • Initial test 6 standard. Level 2. I did more but I don't think I was going down far enough. So I figure I'll start at level 2 and see where I go from there.

This is a great idea! I have been trying to work on my pushups for awhile now and could never stick with it. I think doing this as a group will def help! However, it is difficult for me to do even 2 good pushups. That puts me in rank 1. Ready to improve!

Did 20 knee push ups - gonna start with those and see how many standard I can do by the end!

Ok just done and managed 39 ... So think that would make me level 4

Surprised myself. I did 15 knee pushups! I waited a bit, and then redid the test. To my great surprise, I was able to do 6 standard pushups! Since I'm 58 years old, that puts me at the bottom of level 2.

I have a knee injury, and am trying to strengthen my knee and my core, to get rid of the limp I've developed over that past 3 months, and to prevent future injuries. I'm currently unable to do impact exercises, but this should be ... well, I was about to say "fun," but I think "rewarding" might be a better word! :)
