Don't forget to drink you water...

It is recommended that one should consume 6, 8oz servings of water a day, however 8 is more than likely best considering how much sodium one might be taking in per day. Lots of sodium can dehydrate you. Frozen meals, chips, pretzels. it all adds up. Try to drink 2 servings before every meal. You might find (before a snack) that you weren't really that hungry after all. :)

Another note is on cold water. I read somewhere the other week that cold water was very bad for your body. It can even make food congeal and stick to your organs while digesting. The article also said that because of this, luke warm or even hot water is best for your body and will help the pounds melt off.

I was curious on the last paragraph, what do people think about this? Do you think it is a true statement?

I think cold water really just "hits the spot" when I really need it. But I also think that at least room temp water could in fact be better for you (I know in terms of survival it is for sure... but what about weight loss?).

The doctor that I work with says the same thing. She will only drink room temp water. I think I read some wear that hot water can be just as bad for you because the hot water over your life time can increase your chances of getting esophageal and stomach cancer due to it being a more sensitive tissue.

Personally I like cold water it just is more refreshing. I don't even like drinking water it is so blah. I try to drink it room temp most of the time but when I work out or am just too hot I love an ice cold glass of water :0)

Very interesting. I love water, more so, I love the water here in Alaska... lol. Good tap water here. But if I have water sitting out for a day (like on my night stand), I will have the hardest time drinking it when I wake up. It just is not as refreshing for me. Thanks though, very interesting about the hot water being just as bad.
