I'm pretty sure I'm a leper.
I can't seem to shake this " I'm a leper," feeling.....

Not so much that but often the feeling there is a cloud of invisibility that has surrounded me.0

This is exactly how I feel...like I'm invisible..I hate it. its so weird one of the things I was looking forward to with the wt loss was being noticed..I feel my friends and family notice..but male attention..I don't see it. Its like I'm invisible. I'm not putting this here to seek attention..it baffles me though.0 -
Yep, I've even been issued my bell, and now I just wander around the outskirts shouting unclean. Or at least so it feels.0

Yes I do a lot of the time. I thought losing weight would help me with the whole single status and no I'm still over here inthe corner!0 -

^^This...I often blamed my weight for being invisible. Turned out it was just me, haha! But I am starting realize that we're as invisible as we LET ourselves be. I'm not advocating running naked through the streets for attention, but hey, you have to do SOMEthing!0 -
Ermm. NO!!
Not really sure what a leper feels like or what you're trying to say?
Just remember one thing: the war is in the mind! :flowerforyou:0 -

Well I am screwed then, my mind is full of porn, Bobby Brown lyrics and lollipops.0 -
Between my weight and being just mouthy as all get out? Yeah! :laugh:0

Hell yes! Although the past several months I've been on a mission to change that!0

If two random people whispering at each other near you start laughing... Do you turn and shout at them: "Why are you laughing at me!?" and run away in tears?
If you replied "Yes" to the above, then yes you are a leper.
I tell you the honest and horrible truth though, I don't give a *kitten* about most people - people can die for all I care. By people I mean the big faceless monstrous, noisy, stinky, dark swarm, crawling everywhere and getting in my way, that I will never get to know personally and understand.
And sometimes, something unlikely happens, and an unexpectedly wonderful individual get expelled of this monstrosity: someone who decided to step forward and make themselves known to me, and then I start caring about this person!
So... I think nobody cares about you by default - it's life, you need to step forward and make yourself known to stop being a leper.0 -
What a funny thought,
but yeah,
that's exactly how I have felt all my life......0 -

OMG! I hope this doesnt happen to me when I lose weight! I am the same way! I thought once you lose the weight, the men come running in!! LOL.0 -
I agree with FF actually.
Hey I had the biggest pity party after being dumped and felt unloveable/ rejected but like Annie said, it's in the mind. I felt like a huge zero!! I soaked in the yummy misery for 3 weeks or so and got my *kitten* back up. I'm now a 10 again and feeling fabulous. So I was a temporary leper....
You're not invisible unless YOU say you are. I see you!!!0 -
I felt like this a lot until recently. I've learned if you want to be noticed then you have to make people notice you. The saying is true: "With great risk comes great reward." Try to remind yourself that only you can define your worth.0
-
yep especially when I was a kid wherein our teacher would ask us to do a group project & no one wants me to be a part of their group. also recently I was dumped twice by the same man for the same reason & not to mention the terrible experience that I had in my past relationships. so you're not alone here.0

I feel more like a hermit than a leper. I have zero interest in people that aren't already a part of my life right now. There's a lot happening and I'm choosing to use my energy in more interesting facets of my life.0

This happens when you dont cultivate your sense of self while losing all the protection of extra weight, imo.0

Eh, not sure that's why in my case..... I have felt like this for years and I haven't lost any weight.... I have definitely spent the past three years doing nothing but what *I* want to do!!!!
I think mine stems from all of my friends being married and me just not having the patience to deal w dating. I think I want some single friends that can be at my beck and call for all things fun!!!!! ;-)0
