Why Do You Love Notre Dame

For me, Notre Dame is not just a school or sports program. She is a way of life and is a spiritual beacon for all in the world to see and come to.
My father is a 1960 graduate of Notre Dame. He tried to teach me, that when wearing Notre Dame apparel or talked about Notre Dame, I was to represent her in the best possible light and to exemplify her standards. To this day, I do my best to live by those words.
I consider Notre Dame one of the most beautiful places on the Earth. I have visited there many many times and there seems to be a spiritual connection there every time I go. The Grotto and Basilica draw me closer to God. There is a "Papal Museum," as I call it, connected to The Basilica which has an enormous amount of history connecting Notre Dame to The Vatican. A must see.
My wife and I honeymooned there during the Notre Dame - Navy game of 2001. I have seen both the new and old stadiums. I have seen how the university has grown since I was a boy attending soccer camps there.
Notre Dame is one of the greatest places I have ever been.
