I am just starting back on my diet, well get healthy plan sounds better. I am getting married on October 20. I weigh 155 and would love to drop twenty pounds and be the woman my fiancee fell in love with. Is that too much weight, or too high of a goal? Thanks ladies!

Hi!
I am also a 2012 bride and get married on November 3rd so not too far after you! It's all getting very exciting and pretty close now!I have lost around 19lbs already and will probably only manage to lose another half a stone before the big day being realistic as I am now 144 but I think 20lbs is doable if you haven't lost loads of weight already. Are you planning to eat healthily & exercise or have you got any specific diet in mind?0 -
The question might be, how tall are you?
At 155 it'll be tricky to lose that much weight in a healthy fashion in 12 weeks. Maybe aim for 12 pounds lost and toning up instead?
I'm getting married at around Christmas time and I'm aiming for 25 pounds by then, but I think it will be more like 15 to 20. I'm 170 and my goal weight is 145 (I'm big framed).
My fiance will hopefully be down to 245 and have lost 35 more pounds. 220 is his goal and healthy weight (he'll be hella skinny then).0 -
20 is a lot. you can pull it off but it will not allow any wrong turns. I agree with the above make it a pound a week and then if you feel like it pull it in tight at the end for maybe a few bonus pounds lost. A pound a week is very doable but still hard work.
I got married on June 27th. And 3 weeks prior I cranked it up and lost 7 pounds by working out everyday and eating low carb high protein. I had one weekend (during those 3 weeks) that I did not work out and did not care about what I put in my mouth due to my bachelorette party.
Congrats and good luck!0 -
