Plus one challenge

I've done this before with some friends and thought i'd put it out there for anyone else who may be itnerested in adding this in to our challenge.
basically you start off with one rep of an exercise and then add on one more each day . so if you do 1 push up day 1, day two you'd do 2, day 7 you'd be up to 7, etc. You can do it with stuff that has time too (walking/jogging, planks, wall sits, etc) and do it in 1 second, 10 second or minute intervals, depending on the exercise.
I'm going to start it with pushups and jackknife crunches if anyone wants to join me with their own exercises. May add in wall sits and planks too if i can figure out a good time interval for them.
today is day two of our 2 month challenge, so if you want to join me, just skip day one and do two reps of anything today. FYI since this is an 8 week challenge, youd be doing 56 pushups, crunches, etc (whatever you chose) by the end of the challenge

I decided im gong to do a minute plus one of my weighted hula hoop as well!
so today i did:
2 minutes hula hooping
2 push ups
2 crunches
2 bicep curls (5 lb)
2 shoulder presses (5 lbs)
2 forearm rollers (2.5 lbs)
I may not be able to stick with all of these all the way through, but I'll do my best!0 -
I was thinking about this challenge while I was stretching after working out today & have decided to add a minute to my time on the elliptical each time I work out. Well actually I'll do some math tonight and see how much time I should add each workout so I will be at a full hour by the end of August. I'm sure I will be doing more than 30 workouts between now & then so it may end up being 45 seconds or something.
Thanks for the challenge Soccerella!0 -
I like this idea! I have always wanted be able to do pushups! Although I might start with girly pushups and gradually move to real pushups.... When i saw this I had to actually get down and try to do two push- ups just to see if I could! And I did! I cant imagine that by the end of the challenge I might actually be able to do more than that but fingers crossed!0
