Hardest job in the world?

An aquaintance of mine posted this on facebook: "Nonone honestly has a more stressful job than a MOTHER. Y? There job is a 24 hr job it never ends its always hectic and it never gets any better. Like potty training, its a never ending process. Or getting your baby to crawl, trying to spend time with your kids and still fitting the daily duties you have to do. No one tells u how hard it is to be a mother."

First of all, may I say, I look up to and respect all mothers. I know their job is hard, but it is rewarding as well. In my opinion, the only thing harder than being a mother would be not being able to be a mother. Every time I hear someone complain, I want to slap them so hard. You know? Ugh, it's so aggravating. Why do ignorant, irresponsible people have so many kids, and someone like me who would be a great, responsible parent, isn't able to? Does anyone have the answer to this yet?

I have a five year old daughter. When I was trying to get pregnant with her, I worked with children who had been permanently taken away from their birth families because of serious abuse or neglect. That was really hard - every day seeing people who had five, six kids and couldn't take care of any of them. And I couldn't even get pregnant at all.

@miranda_mom wow. I can imagine that must have been difficult. I used to babysit so much, was a nanny to 5 kids for many years, and have worked in church nurseries and daycare forever. Everyone said I would be the best mom. But, here we are, no children yet. My sister keeps telling me we should adopt. But it's so dang expensive......and there's so many uncertainties.
I'm glad you got your baby girl though! I bet she's sweet. :)
